This is a standout opportunity for a driven, commercially minded finance professional to join a thriving company and progress to Finance Director.

Our client has a turnover set to grow from £100m to £170m, and they require an individual who can combine hands-on financial control with strategic insight to support this exciting growth phase

The role will involve:

Producing management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports with accuracy and confidence.

Leading cash flow forecasting and financial strategy.

Designing and implementing systems and processes to improve reporting and efficiency.

Managing long-term project accounting (2–3 years, typical in construction or contracting).

Overseeing a small finance team of 4–5 staff (payroll and purchase ledger clerks).

Building clear, practical spreadsheets to track performance and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have:

AAT / CIMA / ACCA qualification (or equivalent) with strong financial accounting skills (Study Support can be provided for those still working towards qualification)

Significant commercial finance experience

Experience in construction, contracting, or logistics (highly desirable).

Ambition, energy, and a systems-driven approach.

A level-headed and stable career track record.

Confidence to handle both day-to-day finance operations and strategic planning.
