Client:Castlefield Recruitment are working with a social housing provider in order to recruit a Senior Rents Accountant on a permanent basis. The role is working within a progressive and established team, if offers flexible/hybrid working, as well as many other excellent benefits with a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 DOE.

Role:You will work closely with senior management and calculate rent uplifts in line with Rent Standards, calculate service charges in line with policies and assist with monthly management accounts.

Duties will include;

  • Responsible for calculating rents accurately and correctly in line with the Rent Standard
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the Association’s Rent Model and calculating annual rent uplift
  • To produce management information reports from the rent accounting system in accordance with management requirements
  • Calculating and reconciling service charge budgets and analysing any variances
  • Contributing to frequent budget holder meetings, and preparing monthly management accounts

The successful candidate:

  • Experienced within housing or similarly regulated sector (E)
  • Experienced with rent setting and service charge accounting (E)
  • Part-qualified/actively studying (ACCA,CIMA,CIPFA) (E)
  • Strong Excel and systems knowledge
