Property Litigation Solicitor

We are looking for a Solicitor who has experience in Property Litigation matters. This role is ideal for a competent individual with at least 1 year of property litigation experience, looking to advise on a wide range of disputes while managing their own caseload and assisting senior team members on complex matters.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Advise individuals and business clients on a wide range of property disputes including pre-action, court proceedings, and ADR.
  • Handle commercial lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, including the service of section 25 and section 26 notices.
  • Manage alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery, forfeiture, and section 146 notices.
  • Address residential Landlord and Tenant disputes, including possession notices, possession proceedings, and enforcement.
  • Deal with Housing Act 2004 claims, including bringing and defending claims under section 214.
  • Bring and defend disrepair claims in residential possession cases.
  • Engage in business development activities and build local connections with property agents and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs, and accounting requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of qualified experience within property litigation, managing own caseload across a variety of matters.
  • Knowledge of HMO tenancies as well as competency in boundary, easement, and restrictive covenant disputes.
  • Excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, competent in making and defending interim applications and conducting own advocacy.
  • Passionate about providing outstanding client care with strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
