- Optimize manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive process control and capability to ensure reliable, repeatable production.
- Apply Lean and industrial engineering tools (Kaizen, time studies, VSM, line balancing).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and first-time quality.
- Support industrialization of new products including tooling, work instructions, and validation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth design-to-production transitions using DFMA principles.
- Implement and lead APQP, PPAP, and related readiness and approval processes.
- Conduct structured problem-solving using RCA, 8D, and DMAIC methodologies.
- Define and maintain routings, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Design and validate tooling, fixtures, and gauging to enhance quality and repeatability.
- Monitor performance metrics (yield, scrap, RFT, throughput) and drive data-led improvements.
- Support technical training on processes, tools, and quality methods.
- Contribute to capital investment projects including equipment upgrades and capacity expansion.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within high-spec environments (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly, or similar).
- Worked in industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, nuclear, marineÂ
- Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
- Strong knowledge of process capability (Cp, Cpk), SPC, and statistical validation tools.
- Proven background in continuous improvement and Lean implementation.
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Skilled in documenting and optimizing complex manufacturing workflows.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across technical and production teams.
