- My client, an Engineering company based in Worcester, is seeking to recruit a Project Engineer on an ongoing temporary contract lasting between 6 to 12 months.
- The role involves collaborating with Engineering and Technical Teams to develop new products, resolve manufacturing issues, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Candidates should have previous experience as a Project Engineer with strong knowledge of APQP processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in IT, including MS Office and ERP systems, are essential for managing technical issues effectively.
- The pay rate for this position is approximately £23-£25 per hour, and candidates should have relevant experience in managing high-volume production programs.
You will work collaboratively with the Engineering and Technical Teams to develop new products, solve manufacturing issues as well as ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met.
The main requirements of the role include
- Collaborate with colleagues on new product development and manufacturing processes
- Lead the development of components using the APQP processes and support NPI Projects
- Resolve any issues using root cause investigations and document as required
- Manage Technical ownership of development products
- Communicate all technical issues with relevant stakeholders
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer with strong APQP knowledge
- Experience with AQPQ in high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience managing high-volume production programs
- Strong communication skills with an ability manage technical issues as they arise
- Strong IT skills incl MS Office and ERP systems
The pay rate for this role will be approx £23-£25 an hour based on 3.5 hours per week
