My client, a Transport company based in Worcester, is seeking to hire a Transport Planner on a permanent basis.
The role involves supporting the Transport Manager in daily operations, including planning and scheduling multi-drop deliveries across the UK.
Candidates should have previous experience in a similar role, good geographical knowledge of the UK, and strong IT skills, particularly in Traffic Management Systems and Excel.

My client, a Transport company based in Worcester is looking to recruit a Transport Planner on a Permanent basis.You will support the Transport Manager in the day-to-day functions of running the Transport Operation, stepping into the Mangers role when he is off-site.The main responsibilities of the role include- Plan and schedule multi-drop deliveries across the UK- Work closely with warehouse team to meet delivery deadlines- Monitor vehicle movements using tracking system- Manage driver route-plans- Work closely with in-house customer service team to manage deliveries- Ensure legal compliance on all drive/transport legislation- Manage issues as they arise - Implement any cost savings where possibleAs a suitable candidates you will offer the following- previous experience in a similar role with multi-drop deliveries- Good geographical knowledge of the UK - A strong personality who is able to manage different personalities across the transport team- Methodical and diligent with your paperwork- Good IT skills including Traffic Management System(TMS) and EXCEL- Excellent knowledge of Driver Compliance and Transport Legislation- An ability to prioritize workloadThis role is Mon-Fri from 1200-2000 but some flexibility may be required during holiday and sicknessThe salary on offer is up to £37,500Keywords:Transport Planner, TMS, Descartes, Drive legislation, Compliance, vehicle tracking
