About the Business

An opportunity to be a Finance Assistant for a large services business based in Worcester. They are looking for a driven candidate early on their finance career, who is analytically minded and wants to learn in a fast-paced environment alongside their studies. Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Accountants with the year-end statutory accounts and audit process for all entities.
  • Assist with the collation of information to be used in the preparation of the statutory accounts.
  • Assist with the collation, preparation and provision of information requested by the auditors.
  • Assist with the collation of information used in the preparation of the corporation tax packs.
  • Assist the team in fulfilling financial requirements as specified within the Contracts and Leases with our partners
  • These include but are not limited to periodic financial statements, benchmark reporting and fee calculations.
  • Raise and process related contractual purchase and sales invoices (Management fees / Rent / Income Shares etc).
  • Assist with the preparation of any other financial reports required by board directors or external parties/stakeholders.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with maintaining the integrity of the financial results.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be required by the company or line management.

Location / Office / Culture

The role is office based in Worcester, with flexible hours after probation. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team of circa 20.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA
  • Has previous experience working within a management accounts department or preparing financial statements.
  • IT proficient, with strong spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to process data accurately within deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, able to build and maintain effective relationships with non-finance stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
