Supported Living Manager - Workington


Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs? If so we are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join an established organisation who pride themselves on providing high-quality care and support to people with learning disability and complex needs.

Their organisation is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring that every team member feels valued and supported in their role. The position of Supported Living Manager is a key role to help drive the services forward supporting adults with learning disabilities.



The role:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the supported living service for around 9 people being supported.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and maintain high standards of care.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of support staff to deliver exceptional care.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of service users' needs and progress.
  • Develop and implement personalised support plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Foster positive relationships with external stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals.
  • Promote a culture of safeguarding and ensure the safety and well-being of all service users.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the service.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within adult services, preferably within a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing care and support plans.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care, preferably minimum of Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • The role is permanent over 37.5 hours per week with the need to be flexible to work at the services, and some office based work. Predominantly Mon- Fri 9am-5pm but with flexibility to be able to work shifts and over the weekend where required.
