Quality Inspector Overview
This is a great opportunity for an experienced quality inspector to join a growing electronics manufacturer. The business specialise in low-volume, high value electronic circuits (PCBs) for a variety of safety critical industries.
The quality inspector will be responsible for both visual and automated inspections of PCBs and will need to be able to identify any defects with components and soldering issues. You will need to be able to use measurement tools such as microscopes and callipers. You must be IT literate and able to accurately record and report non-conformities and conduct root cause analysis.
The quality inspection will ideally have some experience working to industry regulations (such as IPC standards) these include IPC-A-610 and 600. Knowledge and experience of using AOI / X-Ray inspection technologies will be advantageous.
Although the role is full-time and permanent, the business are open to looking at applicants only seeking part-time work.
Quality Inspector Requirements
- Experienced with quality inspection of both components and completed PCB assemblies
- Able to use measurement hand-tools
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610/600 is advantageous
- A confident and clear communicator
- Exposure to automated inspection and testing machines is helpful
- Experience maintaining accurate testing and inspection records
- Able to read technical drawings and schematics
