Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. This role is vital to ensuring that each section of our kitchen delivers consistent, high-quality dishes in line with our culinary vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for your section (e.g., grill, pastry, sauce) during service
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the standards set by the Head Chef
- Work efficiently under pressure to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist in the development of new menu items
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your area
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management
- Train and supervise commis chefs or junior staff in your section
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or high-quality restaurant
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of a range of cuisines and techniques
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Ability to lead and inspire junior staff in your section
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for food
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) desirable
- Food Hygiene Level 2 & Food Allergen (we can assist with training)
- Own transport or live in available
Working Hours:
Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on rota.
