We are assisting in the recruitment for a Head Chef to join this independent group who have circa 20 managed houses in their estate. This venue is situated in a popular village on the outskirts of Wrexham. It has 12-bedrooms and offers a set menu of pub classics.
The venue as a steady trade, generating circa 15k per week and has a kitchen team of 5 chefs, we are looking for someone to take control of the day-to-day management of the kitchen, working closely the General Manager and ensuring consistency over the food menu, your role will include:
- Staff management of the team, including scheduling rota's, recruiting and training team members, ensuring team well-being and providing support and guidance
- Working closely with the General Manager and Front of House team to ensure a smooth transition between back of house and front of house
- Reviewing and preparing bookings, including any functions or special occasions
- Complying with company guidelines and ensuring consistency across dishes that leave the kitchen
- Resolve any complaints in a professional manner
- Ensure the kitchen area is fully compliant with all legal and company regulations

The company have stable, long-standing teams and are looking for someone to take control and manage the kitchen operation. You need to be comfortable with complying with a set menu and have a strong team training ethic, you will:
- Have experience in team development and training
- Have good communication skills, able to speak with senior management, suppliers and customers
- Be organised and control the legal requirements of the kitchen
- Remain calm and controlled, leading your team in a professional manner
