Pay Rate: £31.47 per hour (PAYE)
About the Role:As an Assistant Team Manager in the Looked After Children's Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Team Manager and directly guiding social work practice. This is a non-case holding post focused on leadership, supervision, and quality assurance. Your responsibilities will typically include:
- Directly supporting and mentoring social workers in their day-to-day practice with Looked After Children.
- Providing regular and reflective supervision to staff, fostering a positive team culture.
- Overseeing and guiding social work interventions, ensuring they are child-focused and align with statutory requirements and departmental policy.
- Contributing to effective performance monitoring within the team.
- Supporting the Team Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services for children in care.
- Assisting in the management of team resources and contributing to service development.
- A Social Work Degree or equivalent relevant degree.
- Significant post-qualifying experience (ideally 3+ years) working with children, Looked After Children's expeince would be preferred in the UK, with some experience in a supervisory or senior practitioner capacity.
- Registered with Social Care Wales.
- An up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
