About the Role:

As a Business Support Officer specialising in Child Protection, you will play a vital role in supporting our dedicated team in providing administrative assistance to ensure the wellbeing of individuals who may not have a voice. Your contributions will be crucial in processing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) applications and maintaining accurate databases.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Undertaking daily administrative tasks to support the service and team efficiently.
  • Processing DoLS applications with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Maintaining and updating information and databases for team usage.
  • utilising your customer service skills to respond to inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary.

What We Need From You:

  • An NVQ2 or equivalent in a related field (e.g., business administration) or comparable relevant experience.
  • Practical experience in administrative processes and procedures.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in standard software packages and adaptability to bespoke software and databases.
  • Initiative and judgement to identify and address problems, escalating them to senior colleagues as appropriate.
  • A focus on customer needs and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues.
