About the Role:

As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. You'll work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
  • Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
  • Support emotional well being and social development
  • Assist with learning activities tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with the wider school team to track progress

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
