A Warehouse Manager is required to oversee all aspects of a busy Warehouse and Distribution business in Yeovil, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high quality standards at all times.

With a strong reputation for quality, they are committed to providing top-notch products to their customers, and are now seeking a dedicated Warehouse Manager to join their logistics team.

They are based within the Logistics Distribution and supply chain sector.

Description

Core Aspects of the Warehouse Operations Manager role will include:

* End-to-End Supply Chain Management - Oversee the full supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, and demand planning to meet business needs.

* Optimise Logistics Operations - Manage warehouse, transport, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

* Supplier & Vendor Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to drive performance and cost efficiency's.

* Inventory & Stock Control - Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve inventory forecasting to avoid shortages or overstocking.

* Customer Order Fulfilment - Oversee sales order processing, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

* Data-Driven Performance Management - Monitor and analyse supply chain KPIs, such as lead times, cost per unit, and supplier performance, to drive continuous improvement.

* Warehouse & Facility Oversight - Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.

* Process Improvement & Cost Reduction - Identify opportunities to streamline processes, negotiate better supplier terms, and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.

* Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, mitigating risks across the supply chain.

Profile

A successful Warehouse Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management
  • Proficiency in warehouse software packages and MS Office
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage 30 employees
  • Strong decision-making skills and a hands-on approach to work
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Commutable daily to Yeovil 5 days per weel
