We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Yeovil business and lead from the front and be part of a team shaping the companies' future. (Site T/Over 15 million with ambitious growth plans, Headcount circa 80 employees)

Key Tasks

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all manufacturing processes.
  • Lead capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demanding aerospace customer requirements.
  • Manage customer audits and ensure necessary actions are taken.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives to maximise productivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing practices, and operational excellence.
  • Develop, mentor, and motivate a skilled workforce to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and manage manufacturing budgets, control costs and optimise resource allocation.
  • Partner with senior leadership to deliver strategic growth and operational improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within aerospace, automotive or similar process manufacturing environment.
  • Degree qualified with at least 10 years in a senior management role.
  • Experienced in managing all aspects of manufacturing operations (ideally within a 10-15m business)
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to inspire at all levels.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and improving manufacturing processes.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
