Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join my client in Yeovil, Somerset on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of technical publications by liaising between customers/OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and external suppliers, ensuring the project requirements are met to quality and timeline expectations.

Role: Programme Controls Specialist (Contract)
Pay: 35-45 per hour (depending on experience) PAYE only plus holiday pay in addition
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Hours: Monday - Friday, full-time. Once through initial training period, Hybrid working is available: 3 days in Yeovil office, 2 days at home.
Security Clearance: Full BPSS Screening, UK or NATO country passport check, Criminal Records Check, and Drugs Screening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary interface for receiving and clarifying project requests from customers and OEMs.
- Gather, analyse, and collate requirements into comprehensive proposal templates.
- Distribute requirements to Tech Pubs suppliers and facilitate understanding.
- Review and evaluate supplier quotes for accuracy and completeness.
- Use the AET (Estimation Tool) to generate and document estimations.
- Raise and release Purchase Orders (POs) to the appropriate supplier.
- Coordinate project activities and maintain regular communication with external suppliers.
- Review and approve supplier documentation, ensuring it meets project standards.
- Submit finalised deliverables to the OEM in line with agreed timelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a Project Engineering or Technical Coordination role.
- Familiarity with technical documentation and publication processes, ideally in an aerospace or engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and supplier coordination.
- Proficiency with estimation tools such as AET.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience working with or managing suppliers is a plus.
- Experience of MS Project and SAP very beneficial.
