Business Development Executive
Location: York
This role is ideal for a driven individual with a passion for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to strategic growth within the construction and engineering sectors. You'll play a key part in expanding the company's client base and strengthening its market presence across building, civil engineering, fabrication, fire engineering, and facilities management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identify and engage potential clients across relevant sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and industry influencers
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bid documentation
- Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to support lead generation and brand visibility
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
Skills & Experience
- Experience in business development, ideally within construction or engineering
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
- Understanding of regional construction markets and procurement processes
