Business Development Executive
Location: York

This role is ideal for a driven individual with a passion for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to strategic growth within the construction and engineering sectors. You'll play a key part in expanding the company's client base and strengthening its market presence across building, civil engineering, fabrication, fire engineering, and facilities management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Identify and engage potential clients across relevant sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and industry influencers
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bid documentation
  • Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to support lead generation and brand visibility
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings


Skills & Experience

  • Experience in business development, ideally within construction or engineering
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
  • Understanding of regional construction markets and procurement processes
