We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join the culinary team of a leading academic institution for a temporary position this summer. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cooking and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your speciality.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food.
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Manage and train any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you.
- Help with the management of health and safety and food hygiene practices.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie.
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of best cooking practices.
- Culinary school diploma preferred.
