Gi Group are currently recruiting for Service Chef's to join our award-winning clients' culinary team based in Hunmanby, Filey. This is a full-time permanent position working 5 out of 7 days with 1 weekend off every 4 weeks. Job Overview The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant kitchen operations, demonstrating exceptional quality skills. As a Service Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating an inviting atmosphere for guests through high-quality food preparation and service. This role requires a commitment to excellence in hospitality and the ability to supervise the plating up of food and help the team thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities* Assist the kitchen team to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production and service.* Oversee aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.* Ensure that as a member of the kitchen staff you are fostering a positive team environment.* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained clean and in good working order.* Address any customer feedback or concerns promptly and professionally.Experience* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment.* Strong knowledge of food production techniques and presentation of food.* Excellent plating skills with the ability to work within & motivate a diverse team.* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.* Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.* A passion for culinary service and commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality.
