Document Controller

An Exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Administrator or Document Controller to join a highly respected Construction Contractor in their new office in York.
- Assist the Document Control team in managing project-related documentation and drawings using the company's Project Information Management System (PIM), ensuring documents are correctly uploaded, revised, and issued to relevant site teams and stakeholders in line with company protocols.
- Coordinate both site-based and office documentation to maintain consistent and accurate revision control across all construction projects.
- Support the preparation of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, liaising with project managers, site teams, and external suppliers to ensure timely and compliant handover documentation.
- Monitor and promote compliance with the company's Quality, Environmental, Management, and Safety (QEMS) procedures across all construction operations.
- Assist in managing the subcontractor approval process, ensuring records such as insurance, qualifications, and accreditations are current and properly documented.
- Oversee the collation, scanning, and digital filing of site paperwork into the PIM system, maintaining accurate project records.
- Maintain and update standardised document and report templates used across construction sites and offices.
- Support the tracking of company vehicles, ensuring alignment with site time sheets and operational schedules.
- Contribute to the ongoing implementation and training related to the company's Document Management System for construction teams.
- Actively support and champion QEMS practices to ensure health, safety, and quality standards are upheld on all projects.
- Archive site files and project documentation in accordance with internal procedures and construction industry best practices.
- Provide reception and front-office cover as needed.
- Deliver general administrative support to construction project teams and other departments across the business.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstratable proficiency in Viewpoint for Projects, FieldView, and Project Information Management Systems is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and document accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively across site and office teams.
- Familiarity with construction industry processes and documentation standards.
