Our client is seeking a skilled Building Services Multiskilled Technician to support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of their prestigious facilities in York. If you’re passionate about operational excellence and ready to play a key role in Hard FM and Technical Facilities Services, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
You’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
• Respond to breakdowns and maintenance issues in a professional, proactive manner.
• Carry out a variety of reactive and planned maintenance tasks, meeting agreed service levels and deadlines.
• Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors, ensuring RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) are adequate and permits are in place as required.
• Provide HVAC and BMS expertise across the wider technical team.
• Complete risk assessments for multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks, always working safely and compliantly.
• Stay informed of changes to legislation and best practices relevant to building services and compliance.

What We’re Looking For
• Site experience approx. 2 years of post qualification
• Building Services competence with NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications
• Practical engineering skills, including working knowledge of engineering compliance and engineering standards best practice
• Practical experience of working independently in a technical maintenance environment
• Practical experience of working to health and safety standards
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
• Ability to self-manage and self-plan workload to meet set deadlines
• Understand Helpdesk procedures and workflow requirements
• Ability to communicate with customers and team members
• Practical experience of working with safe systems of work and following procedure
