Production Controller

Staff Power is recruiting on behalf of our client near Pickering for a Production Controller to manage production planning and ensure the smooth progression of works orders through their life cycle. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and play a key role in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Release job cards into production according to agreed schedules.

Manage changes to Work In Progress (WIP) from engineering revisions, ensuring correct processes and embodiments are followed.

Facilitate the smooth movement of products through production and stores departments.

Review shortages and expedite priority materials and activities to meet production requirements.

Assist with progress reporting on production.

Direct communication with project managers for dedicated projects.

Manage small projects or technical sales orders with support from the project team.

Identify and implement continuous improvements as part of the team.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Proven competency in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Ability to build strong relationships within the team.

A keen understanding of time-critical responsibilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs are advantageous).

Understanding of production processes (experience within an engineering business preferred).

Previous experience in MRP/Materials Requirements Planning.
