Job Description: Regional Transport Manager Salary: Up to £50K DOE Location: North England and ScotlandThe opportunity:We are seeking a talented and dynamic Regional Transport Manager to join one of the UK’s largest and most respected gas suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact across Northern England and Scotland, where you will be one of three regional transport managers (throughout the UK) overseeing a fleet of over 100 vehicles.As a Regional Transport Manager, your role is essential to the smooth running of operations, ensuring that the drivers are supported, motivated, and equipped to deliver a seamless service. With over 100 years of expertise, the company produces, packages, and distributes thousands of different types of gases daily.   • Inspire and Lead: Manage and motivate a team of drivers to deliver consistently high levels of service, ensuring they are well-equipped with the tools, skills, and support needed to succeed.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Oversee transport operations, manage costs, and implement improvements to optimise performance and streamline working practices.
  • Champion Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery, explore new opportunities, drive growth, and enhance customer relationships.
  • Empower Your Team: Take the lead on recruiting, training, and developing your team, supporting their growth, encouraging collaboration, and helping them achieve strong and sustained performance.
What are we looking for
  • Experience in Transport or Logistics Management: Ideally bringing experience managing teams within a transport or logistics environment.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: You’re confident in building positive relationships, influencing others, and working effectively across teams.
  • Effective Leadership: You have a talent for inspiring and developing others, encouraging teamwork, and driving high performance.
  • Commercial Awareness: A solid understanding of financial principles allows you to make informed strategic decisions that deliver real business impact.
  • A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is preferred.
  • Holding an ADR licence would be an advantage, though full training can be provided.
