Site Manager - Motorway Drainage Works
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee critical drainage works in the Yorkshire region, starting from 8th September, coinciding with the scheduled highway closure. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong site coordination skills and a thorough understanding of drainage systems and highway safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
路Oversee and manage motorway drainage works during closure periods.
路Supervise the cutting out and repair of existing drainage systems beneath the motorway surface.
路Manage the demolition and removal of manholes and associated structures.
路Coordinate deep excavation works (up to 3m deep) safely and efficiently.
路Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
路Liaise with subcontractors, plant operators, and engineers on-site.
路Maintain clear documentation and daily reporting.
Requirements:
路SMSTS certification (mandatory)
路Proven experience in highways or motorway construction projects.
路Strong understanding of deep drainage and excavation safety protocols.
路Ability to work nights or weekends during road closures (if required).
路Excellent organisational and communication skills.
