A leading manufacturer in the Subsea sector is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent position.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in Mechanical Design with both 2D and 3D CAD modelling, along with knowledge of GD&T and FEA.
The role involves producing engineering designs, using simulation tools, and assisting sales and project teams with estimates and proposals.
The position offers a salary dependent on experience, with a typical work schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Friday.
Additional benefits include overtime pay, a 5% pension, life insurance, and private healthcare.

Producing engineering designs (2d/3D), specification and documents
Using simulation tools for FEA. Also using GD&T understanding for hand calculations/structural calcs
Assisting sales and project teams in the estimation/preparation of quotes and proposals
Working closely with shopfloor teams to ensure good understanding around assembly/manufacturing techniques

Mechanical Design EngineerThe ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

Proven Mechanical Design experience both 2D and 3D (Solidworks/PDM is desirable but not essential)
GD&T understanding and being able to apply hand calcs
Experience working within a manufacturing business
