Duties for the Mechanical Engineer include:-

  • Provide mechanical design solutions as instructed by the Senior/Project Engineers.
  • Input on projects, using sound technical competencies.
  • Produce engineering designs, specifications and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
  • Provide offsite engineering support.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integration departments.
  • Work within the requirements of company procedures and national/international regulations.

Experience needed to be successful:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related/equivalent subject
  • Sound Mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks & PDM
  • Finite Element Analysis using Ansys and/or SolidWorks Simulation.
  • Structural analysis including hand calculations.
  • Mechanical assembly techniques and maintenance.
  • Inspection, testing and certification requirements.
  • Completing and checking designs and documentation.
  • Tolerancing, limits and fits.
