Duties for the Mechanical Engineer include:-
- Provide mechanical design solutions as instructed by the Senior/Project Engineers.
- Input on projects, using sound technical competencies.
- Produce engineering designs, specifications and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
- Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
- Provide offsite engineering support.
- Provide customer support.
- Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integration departments.
- Work within the requirements of company procedures and national/international regulations.
Experience needed to be successful:-
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related/equivalent subject
- Sound Mechanical engineering knowledge.
- 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks & PDM
- Finite Element Analysis using Ansys and/or SolidWorks Simulation.
- Structural analysis including hand calculations.
- Mechanical assembly techniques and maintenance.
- Inspection, testing and certification requirements.
- Completing and checking designs and documentation.
- Tolerancing, limits and fits.
