This role is critical in managing production planning processes across the operations function, helping to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilisation.Senior Production PlannerPermanentASAP StartSalary dependent on experienceKirkbymoorside | On-siteSenior Production Planner The Senior Production Planner will have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Planning team, ensuring effective scheduling and resource utilisation
  • Manage MRP systems and master scheduling to support on-time delivery targets
  • Collaborate across Production, Procurement, and Project teams to align planning with operational goals
  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels, ensuring timely material availability
  • Provide regular production performance reports and maintain planning KPIs
Senior Production Planner The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
  • Proven experience in a production planning role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Navision desirable)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with team leadership experience
