JOB SUMMARYÂ
The Recreation Supervisor position is an integral part of the camper's visit, providing an experience beyond all expectations by fostering enthusiasm, creativity and fun. You will execute and support all aspects of recreation activities such as but not limited to, rope courses, art, music, go carts, fishing, talent show, karaoke, bonfire, dodgeball and overall programming, appropriate use of facilities, repair/maintenance, and staff/camper schedules. The goal is to ensure a high level of entertainment during each activity, and make sure staff and participants are engaged and participating in a responsible and safe manner.  The Recreation Supervisor will be responsible for oversite of the safety, vibe, and cleanliness of the recreation facilities used around camp.   Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Supervise recreation staff and activities.Â
Work with and engage youth ages 7–17 in a positive and professional manner.Â
Train and develop staff to ensure safety and guest experience standards meet Woodward’s expectations.Â
Verify that all staff can demonstrate required skills upon completing training.Â
Develop and communicate staff schedules.Â
Ensure staff have the appropriate tools, supplies, and equipment for their job duties.Â
Lead weekly meetings to review current and safety-related topics.Â
Monitor evaluations and observation reports to provide feedback for recreation staff.Â
Attend camper orientation to communicate rules, regulations, and recreation sign-up locations.Â
Assist in managing guest sign-ups and schedules for activities.Â
Support and supervise a variety of activities across the campus, including social events, Create-A-skate, Art Areas, and Jam Room.Â
Address guest requests and needs in a timely manner.Â
Maintain records in accordance with PA Department of Agriculture standards.Â
Manage Woodward safety logs, operational sheets, and incident reports.Â
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks and logs for all recreation courses, facilities, and equipment.Â
Provide feedback to continuously evolve and elevate recreation course and equipment.Â
Support in content capture for key programming events; weekly camp awards, sports specific contests and programming.Â
Carry out the Woodward Guest Services standards – Be Safe, Be Friendly, Be Helpful, Be Proud. Â
Support operational departments in carrying out the Woodward mission in creating a safe and fun environment for all campers.Â

Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting.

Preferred Qualifications:Â
Preferred 3+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens. Â
Some college preferred.
Preferred experience in leadership.Â
Experience working in a camp environment is preferred. Â

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTSÂ
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.  Â
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.  Â
