Revenue Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.

As a Revenue Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for all functions and requirements to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification 606 (ASC 606). Your responsibilities will also include reviewing customer contracts to ensure all revenue implications are identified and accounted for correctly; improving and streamlining systems relating to revenue recognition; analyzing revenue from several different perspectives to determine accuracy of recognized revenue, trends, and concerns; and several other ad hoc analyses around revenue and revenue recognition. Additionally, in this role you will ensure the accuracy of multiple other key metrics, including ARR, RPO, NRR, deferred revenue, and others, and will be responsible for the performance of all necessary reconciliations related to these. You will be a critical contributor to external and internal audit requests, helping foster a relationship of trust, consistency, and competency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with proper revenue recognition of all revenue channels;
• Perform revenue-related analyses, such as the SSP analysis and other technical accounting assessments, as needed;
• Develop and improve SOX-compliant revenue controls and processes;
• Assist in preparing and analyzing revenue projections, revenue trends, etc.;
• Assist in developing tools and processes to automate revenue recognition;
• Prepare and reconcile changes in revenue and other key metrics;
• Assist the orders team to ensure contracts are properly entered into accounting system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree in accounting (preferred);
• Certified Public Accountant (preferred);
• 4-6 years of Public Accounting experience; 
• 1-2 years of industry experience (preferred);
• Familiar/experienced with ASC 606; 
• Familiar with public-company audit requirements and methodologies
• Experience with NetSuite (ARM and SPP) and Salesforce (preferred); 
• Experience within SaaS industry (preferred);
• Analytical, organizational, communications, written, and interpersonal skills; 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize upon the various responsibilities and understand the interdependencies of others within the function of this role.
