Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the leadership of the Center for Cyclone Civics in establishing a research agenda consistent with its mission to promote civic education, civic engagement, and free speech. Candidates should have an interest in developing a research agenda focused on civics
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. or other terminal degree at the time of appointment in Political Science, Sociology, Education, History, Philosophy, Journalism and Mass Communication, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of key issues related to civic education, civic engagement, and free speechÂ
• Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods and assessment practicesÂ

The Center for Cyclone Civics is dedicated to advancing nonpartisan civic education and research on free speech, while addressing long-standing gaps in Americans’ civic literacy and engagement. The mission of the center is implemented through a slate of programming, partnerships, and outreach efforts.
