POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Lead Technician to support manufacturing and facility operations by ensuring maintenance and repair activities for machinery and infrastructure are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role provides technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance support to ensure equipment reliability, operational continuity, and minimal downtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and conduct technical training programs for maintenance technicians, focusing on technical skills, safety protocols, and best practices in machine and facility maintenance.

Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Design, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs to proactively identify and address potential equipment failures.

Provide technical support to maintenance technicians during equipment breakdowns or malfunctions to restore operations quickly and safely.

Ensure facility systems and infrastructure are maintained to support safe operation and zero downtime of critical systems.

Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies by conducting audits, coaching team members, and promoting a strong safety culture.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, streamline workflows, and improve overall equipment reliability and efficiency.

Collaborate with production managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize work orders.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging maintenance technologies, recommending improvements where applicable.

Provide mentorship and coaching to maintenance technicians to support technical growth and professional development.

Serve as a point of contact for maintenance emergencies, coordinating rapid response efforts to minimize production downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Five to seven years of experience in machine maintenance or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong technical expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers and automated systems.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift over 45 pounds.

Constant or frequent standing and walking.

Ability to work in a manufacturing and facilities environment around machinery and equipment.

Use of required personal protective equipment as needed.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

Up to 60%.
