We currently have a new career opportunity for a full-time Project Manager based out of our corporate office (Enterprise) in Appleton! After initial onboarding onsite, this position could have the opportunity for hybrid (~3 days onsite/week, 2 remote) work consideration. However, candidates must reside in Wisconsin to be considered.Â
The Project Manager will organize and implement large strategic projects that involve IT systems, business applications and processes, cross department communication and collaboration leveraging standard project management best practices. This includes leading and providing direction to a cross-departmental resource team to support strategic business objectives and ongoing operations. This position will create executive level project proposals, status reports, and other presentations. As a project manager, your job is the successful execution of projects through proper planning, reporting, budgeting, resource alignment, documentation, and overall coordination of the specific project. Project managers work closely with Senior and Executive Leadership on proper scope and direction, as well as decision making and status reporting. Â
The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager role include but are not limited to:
- Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Coordinating the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and leading implementation
- Developing a detailed project plan to track progress and results
- Measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Performing the necessary due diligence for reviewing and selecting vendors for the initiatives being worked on
- Organizing project information across all resources and areas involved
- Providing input to overall project portfolio to assist in project portfolio planning
- Monitoring project progress and creating project status reports for project managers and stakeholders
- Managing project management documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule, or scope statement, as directed by the Sr. Sponsor or project manager
- Supporting team members when implementing risk management strategies
Candidates for the Project Manager position should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, leadership or a related field
- Formal Project Management training and certification is required – for example PMP, Certified Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master
- Three to five years of project experience, in support of the financial services industry, preferable
- Project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to proactively identify anything that will take projects off schedule and find solutions to correct the problem
- Ability to monitor milestones and ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets
- Detail oriented; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and track project expenses at a detailed level against a budget and plan
- Strong analytical skills: ability to apply logical solutions to business problems
- Ability to identify issues and properly document them
- Teamwork – Curious about the credit union, its strategies, its businesses, and its people. Ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and team members and be the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams. Ability to work closely with teams as you work toward a common goal
- Communication- Effective communication skills to present information in a clear concise manner Ability to proactively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills that allow for identifying quick solutions and strategies
- Change management skills to adapt to different variables and changes to the original project plan
- Excellent organization, time management and communication (written/verbal) skills
- Strong written, visual presentation, and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
