The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of restoration and construction projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The Project Manager will monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide leadership on-site to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of renovation and construction projects, ensuring work is completed according to plans, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and ensure that materials and equipment are available as needed.
  • Maintenance readiness to respond to job sites with minimal notice.  Capable of working away from office for extended periods. 
  • Coordinate work between subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
  • Lead and supervise on-site personnel, including subcontractors, laborers, and field staff, to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety standards.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of construction work, ensuring compliance with specifications, building codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Track project expenses and monitor budgetary goals to ensure cost-effective resource allocation and prevent overruns.
  • Address and resolve on-site issues such as delays, conflicts, or technical challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure necessary materials and equipment are ordered, delivered on time, and in proper condition to avoid delays.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns or scope changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of changes.

Qualifications

  • Construction superintendent/project management experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential to effectively manage multiple teams and keep projects on track.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential for success.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This is 100% onsite at client jobsites. The Project Manager must lift materials, climb multiple stories, and work outdoors in varied weather. Includes email correspondence and project documentation. Utilize proper safety practices to minimize hazards and injury. The position requires managing stressful situations, occasional long or weekend hours, frequent travel by car, and regular use of a personal cell phone.
