Job Summary:

This position may work in one of the following modalities: Diagnostic, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine.
Duties will be consistent with the modality in which incumbent will be working. Candidates must meet the requirements
of the modality in which they will be working. This position will report to the modality manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of assigned modality imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others. Performs imaging exams consistent to assigned modality in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Certificate Radiologic Technology


Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor


Additional License(s) and Certification(s):



Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 1 year Diagnostic, Nuclear Medicine: no experience required; CT: 1 year in diagnostic;
IR, Mammo, MRI: 2 years in diagnostic. Required

Required Minimum Skills:

Ability to operate appropriate modality imaging equipment based on department
Ability to communicate verbally and written
Possess excellent patient/customer service skills
