Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is involved in daily domestic and international logistics administration operations, focusing on exports from the U.S. and Canada, border crossing customs compliance, and issue escalation to team members. This role includes direct supplier and consignee communication, documentation oversight, and logistics vendor interaction.
This position does not currently have direct reports but may lead cross-regional initiatives and vendor onboarding projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed for the Position:
- Some knowledge of international logistics, customs processes, and export documentation
- Familiarity with Canada and Mexico shipping procedures and customs regulations, or ability to quickly develop proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across cultures
- Sound judgment identifying issues requiring senior leadership involvement, including escalation to the VP of Logistics
- Proficiency in logistics systems and Excel
- Understand of or ability to learn about CARM/CERS, etc.Â
- Detail-oriented, with ability to prioritize and resolve time-sensitive issues independently
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
- Flexibility to support customers and partners in multiple time zones
Responsibilities:
- Manage Canada export/import operations including customs clearance, CARM/CERS and vendor communications
- Coordinate majority of US export operations bookings and Bill of Lading negotiations
- For all regions, daily monitoring of bookings, customs documentation, and cargo tracking and communication/coordination of any changes with the sales operations team
- Manage export documentation including shipping instructions, draft BLs, and certificates of origin (EUR1, USMCA, etc.)
- Partner with finance on pre-payments, invoice issuance, and resolution of discrepancies in US market
Daily participating in domestic truckload and drayage dispatch responsibilities:
- Follow direction of Domestic Logistics Coordinator for daily coverage of overflow domestic truckload and import/export drayage
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- This position may require occasional travel and early or late hours to accommodate global time zones
