Position Summary          

As an AS/400 Developer, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of software applications critical to the operations of CVS Health. The AS/400 Developer is essential to ensuring the success of the Rx Claim Adjudication team in their support of both internal and external clients. The AS/400 Developer is responsible for developing and implementing complex technology solutions, ensuring and adhering to all established methodologies standards and guidelines.    

As part of the Rx Claim Adjudication team, you will be expected to be proficient in all critical functions of the application development and will champion SDLC methodologies and best practices in the team to ensure that quality standards are met.  

Additional responsibilities of the AS/400 Developer include:

  • Estimation
  • Analysis & Design Coding
  • Program specifications
  • Writing test plans and documenting results
  • Testing and debugging
  • Delivering assignments within specified time frames.

Required Qualifications                

  • 3+ years of application development experience in AS/400, RPG, RPGLE, COBOL and CL
  • 3+ years of working experience in an SDLC environment
  • 2+ years of Synon/2e experience

Preferred Qualifications               

  • demonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects; demonstrated proficiency working on all phases of SDLC; demonstrated proficiency with problem determination and resolution through research and fact-finding 
  • Effective communication skills are required to facilitate meetings in both technical and business audiences, often across multiple functional areas
  • Experience in PBM Insurance or Healthcare industry is desirable
  • Experience with Rx Claim or other PBM system is preferred

Education           

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a verifiable High School diploma

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
