Help power a cleaner, safer planet. Dynapower builds mission‑critical power conversion and energy storage systems used in Clean Energy, Datacenters, Defense, and Industrial applications. As Senior Financial Analyst, you will be the operations finance partner for a vertically integrated Vermont-based manufacturer with global reach.

You’ll report to the Director of Finance and work in a small, but high-impact team that supports Sales, Engineering/R&D, Operations, and Sensata Corporate Finance. This is a hybrid-finance role for someone who wants to understand the business deeply and influence execution, process, and profitability. We are seeking high potential talent with interest in growing into future leadership.

General Responsibilities

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

• Performs variance analysis between actual, prior and standard costs

• Analyze financial data and create cost and financial models for decision support

• Report on financial and cost performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization

• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials

• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools

• Recommend changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes

• Examine data to help with reducing cost in all operations

• Analyze the market and identify opportunities for growth and potential risks

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Operations

  • Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide real time insights to Operations leadership

  • Lead the annual standard cost and overhead/burden rate updates for manufactured and purchased products

  • Support manufacturing overhead forecasting, labor planning, absorption modeling, and inventory reserve analysis

Forecasting

  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts across MFG overhead, absorption, labor, and inventory

Close:

  • Support month end close with data pulls, analysis, reporting packages, and cost related journal inputs

Inventory & Working Capital:

  • Partner with Supply Chain on inventory and DOH forecasting and analyze actuals vs. plan

Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Maintain and improve operational reporting, including: Project EAC vs. Budget, Productivity measures

  • Create executive dashboard and management reports that highlight operational KPIs for leadership reviews

 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; comfortable with large and imperfect datasets

  • Advanced Excel capability and ability to build clean, scalable models and reporting

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and partner across Operations functions

  • Team oriented, organized, and accountable, with strong communication skills.

  • Understanding of standard costing in a manufacturing environment, and basic accounting principles preferred

Base Salary Range:

$84,500.00 - $116,160.00
