About the Role

WalkerHughes Insurance is seeking a Data Integration Analyst to lead data onboarding for newly acquired businesses and third-party systems as well as reporting enablement for existing data sets. This role is approximately 60% data integration/migration and 40% BI reporting and analytics, focused on practical ingestion, SQL transformation, validation, and business reporting.

This position supports data onboarding and reporting delivery but does not own a full-scale ETL or data engineering platform.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end data onboarding for acquisitions (field mapping, transformation rules, validation, and alignment)
  • Build and maintain ingestion / extraction scripts and repeatable import processes (API and file-based loads) from 3rd party systems
  • Perform SQL-based migrations, normalization, and data transformations
  • Execute validation and reconciliation processes (record counts, financial totals, exception reporting)
  • Maintain integration documentation including mapping sheets and runbooks
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, IT, vendors, and stakeholders on integration timelines and cutovers

BI Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, datasets, and reporting assets
  • Produce operational reports and executive-level summaries
  • Perform structured and ad hoc data analysis to identify trends and business insights
  • Define and document key metrics and reporting logic for consistency

Data Integrity & Process Improvement

  • Ensure ongoing data quality through validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection
  • Troubleshoot reporting and integration issues
  • Recommend improvements to increase automation and repeatability

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or data integration roles
  • Strong SQL skills (joins, CTEs, aggregations, performance optimization)
  • Experience integrating data from third-party systems, APIs, and flat files
  • Demonstrated experience building business-facing reporting solutions
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Clear communicator able to partner with both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred

  • Power BI expertise (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, performance optimization)
  • Experience in acquisition or multi-entity environments
  • Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Experience with CRM, AMS, ERP, or accounting systems
