The Cardiac Cath Lab /Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse monitors patients throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast‑paced, highly specialized procedural environment. This role requires strong critical‑care skills, with ICU, ED, or Cardiac PCU experience preferred, and the ability to work seamlessly alongside a multidisciplinary team of providers, technologists, and support staff. Registered Nurses must be flexible and comfortable transitioning between cardiac cath and IR cases as needed, bringing clear communication, adaptability, and sound clinical judgment to a unique procedural space that is distinctly different from traditional bedside nursing.

Shifts:   

  • Full-time Day shift; 4- 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, self-schedule, every 3rd weekend, holiday rotation, on call required

 

Qualifications 

  • Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. 
  • Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
    • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. 
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. 
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
