  • Operate tools and equipment—from hand tools to heavy machinery
  • Assist with emergency repairs and 24-hour response situations
  • Help maintain equipment, vehicles, and accurate records
  • Support traffic control setups and job site safety measures
  • Contribute to the City’s GIS system and infrastructure tracking

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)
  • Interest in utilities, construction, or public works
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety standards
  • Ability to read maps, follow instructions, and solve problems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license (CDL is a plus or may be required)

  • Heavy physical activity (lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs occasionally)
  • Working in all weather conditions and around active job sites
  • Use of a wide variety of tools, equipment, and machinery
