Job Summary
We are seeking someone who plays Fiddle to join our team! As a seasoned Fiddler, you will be selecting music for students, and assigning them songs best suited to them. You will also schedule and supervise rehearsals within the confines of school hours. Also assist  with maintaining musical equipment, and attend staff meetings as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, excellent leadership skills, and a knack for developing young talent. 

Responsibilities 
  • Choose activities, lessons, and musical performances based on the skillset of the students
  • Hold auditions for each activity, and assign parts as necessary
  • Schedule and supervise rehearsals within the appropriate school hours
  • Properly assess the skills of each student under your care, and work with each student to develop their individual skills
  • Stay up to date with trends in both teaching and the music industry
  • Attend staff meetings, as needed
  • Assist in maintaining musical equipment, as necessary
Qualifications
  • Previous experience teaching music preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership and time management skills
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure
