Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Events Coordinator to manage amenity spaces within a premier Class A office building within the central business district of Chicago, catering to a dynamic community of office tenants. This role is central to creating a welcoming, engaging, and efficient environment by developing unique service offerings, social events, and customized programming aimed at enhancing tenant satisfaction. 

The Events Coordinator will coordinate tenant events and ensure a positive tenant experience from pre-planning stages to execution.  They will serve as the primary liaison with tenant contacts, addressing needs promptly and tailoring services as required. Additional responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, coordinating contracts, and managing amenity spaces. The ideal candidate will bring experience in event coordination, hospitality management, or commercial property management. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to improving tenant experience, and the ability to work collaboratively to foster a positive, community-oriented environment for all building occupants.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and organize social events, activities, and programming tailored to tenant needs.
  • Act as the primary liaison with key tenant contacts to understand and address their unique needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, coordinating services, contracts, and evaluate performance.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate service levels, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Foster a welcoming, community-oriented environment for tenants and visitors.
  • Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
  • Analyze tenant feedback to continuously refine and enhance service offerings.
  • Maintain an inventory of amenity supplies and manage procurement as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with building policies, health, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support tenant retention and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with a minimum of 3 years in hospitality management, commercial property management, event coordination, or a similar client-facing role preferably in a corporate or Class A office setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication abilities both verbal and written to liaise with tenants, staff, and vendors.
  • Proficient with budgeting and financial reporting, with solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service expertise with a demonstrated commitment to creating a positive, welcoming environment.
  • Knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiation, as well as familiarity with health, safety, and building compliance regulations within a Class A office setting.

 

 

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $80,000
