Analytical Chemist 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytical Chemist to join our R&D team. This role supports our innovation pipeline by focusing on the characterization of complex mixtures of fatty acids and esters and the development of sustainable oleochemical solutions. You will be responsible for designing, validating, and implementing advanced analytical methods to support both fundamental research and product development.

Key Responsibilities
 - Design, optimize, and execute analytical methods using GC-FID/MS, HPLC, NMR, LC-MS, and ICP-OES.
 - Collaborate with synthetic and process chemists to provide structural elucidation, impurity profiling, and purity assessments.
 - Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation to ensure reliable performance.
 - Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support R&D, scale-up, and manufacturing decisions.
 - Contribute to method documentation, SOPs, and knowledge sharing within the laboratory.
 - Ensure laboratory work complies with safety requirements and applicable ISO, ASTM, or GLP standards.

Required Qualifications
 - Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years, master’s degree with 3+ years, Chemistry or a related field.
 - Strong working knowledge of GC and HPLC techniques.

Preferred Skills
 - Experience with analytical method development and validation.
 - Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques (Acid Value, Iodine Value, Hydroxyl Value).
 - Knowledge of green chemistry principles and sustainable feedstock analysis.
 - Experience using Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) such as MassHunter, ChemStation, or OMNIS/Tiamo.
 - Experience in operation and maintenance of ICP-OES instrumentation, preferably including analytical method development.
