Today, we provide care services to Medical Oncology and Hematology, Radiation Oncology, Rheumatology, and Urology patients. Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares IV chemotherapy and pre-medications.
Dispenses chemotherapy and other IV medications to our patients and supports our medically integrated dispensary.
Maintains accurate and organized records of medications, supplies and transactions.
Ensures physician orders are processed in a timely manner.
Helps manage inventory and anticipates medication and supply needs.
Assists with grants, prior authorizations, and insurance eligibility and verification.
Displays professionalism and has great customer service and communication skills.
Complies with all applicable procedures, rules and regulations and adheres to health and safety policies and protocols.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Communication: You will have to act as a liaison for regulatory agencies and you must also be able to generate verbal and written reports of your observations.
Ethics: This position requires that you are able to uphold the code of ethics in regard to medical science and human subjects.
Team Player: You must work well with others during conversations, projects, meetings, or other collaborations. This skill is dependent on your ability to communicate well, actively listen, be responsible and honest.
Experience in sterile compounding required, chemotherapy experience strongly preferred
Must be capable of wearing the required PPE during compounding activities.
Education:
Sterile Compounding experience strongly preferred
Pharmacy technician experience required
Medical oncology terminology and experience preferred
Idaho pharmacy technician license, required upon hire
Certified pharmacy technician, earned by 6-months of employment
