Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a Tire Technician .This role is designed for those who love physical labor work and a path to multiple technician positions in the transportation maintenance industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Perform services on tires, including rotations, balancing, repairs and replacement 

  • Mount and dismount tires and wheels 

  • Inspect tire casings for defects, such as holes or tears, and patch or replace as needed 

  • Close out and complete repair orders 

  • Identify and properly tag all turned-in pieces of equipment 

  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and safety requirements 

  • Maintain an organized and neat shop/storage area 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment 

  • Time management skills 

  • High school diploma 

  • Ability to clearly read, write and speak English 

  • Ability to operate a computer-based maintenance tracking system and diagnostic system 

  • Basic math calculations 

  • Valid driver's license required 

  • Must be able to perform in a physically demanding environment 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Basic knowledge in truck or trailer maintenance 

  • Studying Automotive/Diesel Technology

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

  • Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces 

  • Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body movements 

  • Using hands to handle, control or feel 

  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds 

Work Experience: 

1+ year working experience
