Direct Hire Patient Access Representative Lead Role in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Clinical Magnet, a division of ICON Medical Network, is looking to hire Lead Patient Access Representatives to join our partners’ team near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This opportunity to grow within a large, prominent, highly rated hospital system. Great pay, exceptional benefits, student loan repayment programs, and various shifts available!

This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity! (not contract)

Responsibilities of the Lead Patient Access Representative:
  • Oversees daily patient registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance
  • Mentors staff while also providing coaching, monitoring team productivity, quality assurance (QA), and accuracy rates
  • Ensures accurate insurance verification, obtains authorizations, counsels patients on financial liability, and manages cash reconciliation.
  • Acts as the escalation point for complex patient or insurance issues and handles operational issues when supervisors are unavailable.

Requirements for the Lead Patient Access Representative:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Patient registration experience required in a physician office/practice, hospital setting, healthcare insurance provider or other healthcare relevant setting
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, health insurance (Medicare/Medicaid), and HIPAA compliance
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills
  • Ability to lead teams, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills when interacting with staff, patients, families, and leadership
