At Claratel Behavioral Health, we’re committed to transforming lives by supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Our inpatient residential facility provides a safe, structured, and healing environment where every team member plays a vital role in recovery.

We're currently seeking compassionate and safety-minded professionals to join our team of Crisis Safety Technicians — individuals who are ready to make an impact by ensuring the wellbeing of others while fostering dignity, respect, and hope.

What You'll Do

You’ll be at the heart of client care — ensuring a safe, supportive environment while directly engaging with individuals in crisis. From conducting facility rounds and safety checks to leading group interactions and assisting in emergency interventions, you’ll be a crucial presence in moments that matter most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with clients
  • Monitor, observe, and document client behaviors and interactions
  • Engage clients in group and one-on-one activities that promote stability and growth
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide de-escalation support as needed
  • Patrol facility grounds to ensure safety for all residents, visitors, and staff
  • Conduct searches of persons and environments per protocol
  • Assist in executing emergency safety interventions when there is imminent risk of harm
  • Complete environmental and safety checks, drills, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records such as observation sheets, incident reports, and progress notes
  • Maintain a professional, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach at all times

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (mental health, security, or crisis care preferred)
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy (email, online documentation, internal systems)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and remain physically active throughout the shift
  • Professionalism, calm demeanor, and commitment to safety

Working Environment

  • Inpatient behavioral health facility
  • Direct contact with individuals in acute crisis
  • May involve standing, walking, lifting, and responding to behavioral health emergencies
  • Work may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on shift availability

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a mission-driven team changing lives daily
  • Comprehensive training provided for all emergency and crisis response protocols
  • Opportunity to grow in a fast-paced behavioral health setting
  • Make a real, lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most
