Nightwing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Engineer to join our team and drive the optimization of our industrial operations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient and safe processes by designing, developing, installing, and maintainingoperations equipment.Â

Key Responsibilities to Anticipate:Â
Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the power and cooling systems at the Program's Overseas Facilities; to include Chilled Water Systems, HVAC, Power Generation, and Emergency Backup systemsÂ
Monitor the Facilities system operation through remote Building Management Systems (BMS) and diagnose and resolve issues as they ariseÂ
Develop and produce system status reports, for overall system health and status, as well as root-cause analysisÂ
Develop scopes of work ranging from new design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation and maintenanceÂ
Contribute to technical discussions with a team of Engineers and system manufacturers for system design, recapitalization, and troubleshooting effortsÂ
Develop and maintain project documentation to include drawings, technical specifications, and operational dataÂ
Oversee technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost analysisÂ
OCONUS travel required; Quarterly maintenance trips, typically 1-3 weeks in duration. Additional trips may be required dependent on requirementsÂ

Basic Qualifications:Â
Possess a Degree in a STEM field, or mustpossess an active Journeyman or Masters License with 5 years relevant workÂ
Fundamental engineering skills and knowledgeÂ
Proficient in Microsoft Office programsÂ
Strong verbal and written communication skillsÂ
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learnÂ
Background check and drug screen required (every external new hire in the U.S.), drug screen only performed on re-hires who have been gone for more than 1 yearÂ
U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearanceÂ

Self-starter who is eager to own tasks from inception through completionÂ
Proficiency in CAD Software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks)Â
Hands-on experience with equipment such as UPS, Generators, Low Voltage Switchgear, with a variety of voltages and frequenciesÂ
Hands-on experience with equipment such as: Chilled Water Systems, Pumps, In Row Cooling Units, and Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC/CRAH)Â
Hands-on experience with BMS/SCADA, and PLCsÂ
Understanding of traditional data center practices and how they can best be implemented into greenfield or brownfield data centersÂ
